By Turbonius J. Monkey | July 21, 2008
Hopefully just in time for your summer vacation, Volvo Cars of North America has today made public its list of All Time Greatest Summer Road Trip Songs. Put these classics on your iPod to as Volvo’s folks put it “satisfy the adult crowd and introduce younger passengers to a time when GPS, backseat DVD players and satellite radio didn’t exist.”
Volvo’s list follows after the jump.
So, here it is; Volvo’s All Time Greatest Summer Road Trip Songs
- “Born to Run” Bruce Springsteen
- “S.O.S.” ABBA
- “Ramble On” Led Zeppelin
- “Me and Bobby McGee” Janis Joplin
- “Dancing Queen” ABBA
- “Jackson” Johnny and June Carter Cash
- “Take a Chance on Me” ABBA
- “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” Meatloaf
- “Stuck in the Middle With You” Stealer’s Wheel

Personally I’d delete the ABBA, but if your ride is a Volvo it may be appropriate.
